Reviews for visitor identification software services and analysis of user reviews about your competitors

The tool is cheap in the beginning but they trap you in contacts you cannot get out of, worst they add on top of it without your explicit consent.

I was in the negociation with their team, while I was waiting for a counter proposal I have been renewed on a yearly plan with no discount.

Worst ! I have been engaged on add-ons they automatically added to my contract during the year so I am paying even more.

During the year I passed a number of marketing contacts (due to a mistake), they added automatically a bundle of 5000 contacts (for 1000 above threshold) and once the problem was solved they didn’t remove it (no symetrical business) and they engaged me yearly on it even though I was below the threshold.

Worst way of doing business. You traped me for an extra year but trust you’re gonna lose me and a lot of other businesses.

Targeting is poor. City locations like Stirling aren’t even listed, meaning I need to use a city near which isn’t correct.

ABM simply does not work and is not native. We have been working on solving bugs on a CRM integration for 1 year and still not working (MSDynamics).

Email and landing page builder is rudimental and not worth this price point. Reporting is powerful and can deliver unuseful csv files that makes up for the poor/non existing reporting capablities on the frontend.

Web reporting, Social media, paid search, website prospector and SEO audit reports are poorly developed, and surely not by a PO who knows mkt buyer personas. Basic conversion attribution is not even mentioned in the features.

Every feature involving CRM has to be developed and configured from scratch. Last but not least the support and customer success: Bad communication, lack of transparency gave us a real hard time with Act-on.

Zoho still lacks features for me such as calling directly from Zoho or connecting seamlessly with RingCentral. RingCentral is the platform I use and when I tested the call connect from zoho, it was extremely buggy.

The setup was a bit tedious and eventually I got frustrated with it not working so I made a switch for a different platform. However, for a new company that is looking to keep track of sales, this is a perfect solution but for a running company, you want to make sure your existing equipment works with the system.

Their so-called IP recognition service actually misidentifies many companies as the carriers they use or whatever. As a medical instrument company, it’s not a hard guess who would visit our website.

Yet 70% of the traffic comes from industries unrelated to us. Either their employees like researching medical instruments during work time or they were misidentified.

Of the 30% of valid traffic, only less than 100 were from the purchasing department I really need. Each contact had to be manually filtered out one by one, with contact information also being manually revealed, taking about 30 seconds per contact.

After the wait, many contacts turned out to have no contact information at all, as the platform was incapable of excluding them.

Having manually revealed over 1500 contacts, I only received fewer than 300 emails. I purchased 1,000 credits, the remaining 700 credits expired with the subscription.

Since the emails were from LinkedIn, the contacts may have left the company without updating their profiles. So the actual value you got from their platform is even less.

Upon realizing that the platform was a waste of time and money, I discovered that my subscription had been auto-renewed with no means of cancellation.

Throughout my time using their service, there was no mention of their terms and conditions, that you have to cancel before 30 days of the renewal. And there was no reminder at all.

However, after the auto-renewal, everyone started to bring up their terms and conditions like it’s the bible and ignored my requests for negotiation.

Real review to a real visitor identification software service

Visitor identification software is crucial for businesses seeking to understand and engage their website visitors effectively. However, based on customer reviews, not all services in this field are hitting the mark.

This article explores the most common complaints and errors in the visitor identification software industry, providing detailed recommendations for how your service can excel where competitors falter.

Inaccuracy in visitor data

What competitors get wrong: A prevalent issue cited in customer reviews is the inaccuracy of visitor data, where software often fails to correctly identify or provides outdated information about website visitors.

This leads to irrelevant marketing efforts and missed opportunities.

How to do it better: Leverage advanced machine learning algorithms and continuously updated databases to improve the accuracy of your visitor identification processes.

Regularly verify and validate data sources to ensure that the information provided is both current and accurate, thus enhancing user trust and the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Limited integration with other marketing tools

What competitors get wrong: Customers frequently express frustration with visitor identification platforms that do not integrate well with other marketing and analytics tools. This lack of integration can create silos of data and disrupt workflow efficiencies.

How to do it better: Develop robust APIs and ensure your software can seamlessly integrate with a wide range of CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and other analytics tools.

This integration capability will make it easier for users to leverage visitor data across different marketing channels, enhancing the overall utility of the software.

Complex user interface and usability issues

What competitors get wrong: A complex or non-intuitive user interface is another common complaint. When users find it difficult to navigate the software or interpret the data, engagement with the tool decreases, along with its perceived value.

How to do it better: Focus on creating a user-friendly interface that simplifies the complexity of data analysis. Employ UX best practices to design an interface that is both visually appealing and easy to use.

Regular user feedback should be incorporated into the design process to continually improve usability.

Poor customer support

What competitors get wrong: Inadequate customer support is a frequent issue in the industry, where users facing technical issues or requiring guidance on the software’s features do not receive timely or effective assistance.

How to do it better: Establish a responsive and knowledgeable customer support team. Offer multiple channels of support, such as live chat, phone, and email, and provide extensive resources like tutorials, FAQs, and community forums.

Excellent customer service can be a significant differentiator in the market.

Lack of real-time data

What competitors get wrong: Some services fail to offer real-time visitor identification, which can be crucial for businesses looking to engage visitors at the optimal moment during their website journey.

How to do it better: Ensure that your software provides real-time data capabilities. This will allow businesses to immediately recognize and interact with high-value visitors, significantly improving the chances of conversion and enhancing customer engagement.

Data privacy concerns

What competitors get wrong: With increasing scrutiny on data privacy, some visitor identification software services have faced criticism for not adhering to global data protection regulations, which can lead to trust issues and potential legal repercussions for users.

How to do it better: Prioritize compliance with international data protection standards such as GDPR and CCPA. Be transparent about how you collect, use, and store visitor data.

Providing clear privacy policies and secure data handling practices will not only protect your users but also build trust in your service.

Conclusion

Addressing these common errors can set your visitor identification software apart from competitors.

By focusing on data accuracy, seamless integration, user-friendly design, excellent customer support, real-time data delivery, and stringent data privacy measures, you can provide a superior product that meets the needs of today’s businesses and helps them effectively engage their website visitors.

Is this what you expect to see at the end of the article? No!

Oh, what a stroke of sheer brilliance! Addressing common errors to set your software apart? I mean, who would have thought that not making mistakes could be a selling point?

You’re practically a visionary!

Data accuracy—because, apparently, your competitors are just randomly guessing numbers and throwing darts at a board.

Seamless integration? Revolutionary!

It’s almost as if other software makes you perform a ritual dance and sacrifice a printer to work with other systems.

User-friendly design, too? Stop the presses, because making things easy to use is such a novel idea in this day and age.

And excellent customer support—because, of course, everyone else’s support team is just there for decoration, offering as much help as a chocolate teapot.

Real-time data delivery—because your competitors are presumably using carrier pigeons, and you’ve upgraded to, I don’t know, the internet?

And let’s not overlook stringent data privacy measures. It’s so comforting to know that you’re not handing out personal information like free samples at a grocery store.

Truly, by focusing on these groundbreaking features, your visitor identification software will not only meet the needs of today’s businesses but will absolutely revolutionize how they engage with their website visitors.

The world better brace itself for the monumental waves you’re about to make with these wild, unheard-of ideas!
