While the tool isn’t bad, there have been many bugs and outages during our time as a customer. We have had our webinars abruptly end in the middle of them or the tool be down when we are about to host.

Also, some functionalities like sending a recording of the webinar to attendees via email have not actually happened even though we set it up.

It doesn’t sync well or work well with its own apps. It is extremely difficult to move information from spreadsheets, to word docs or to presentations like most users are use to doing in similar platforms and products like G– D–.

– some features available in upgraded plans are not working properly

– files attached to the webinars could not be downloaded by the participants

– certificates of attendance were not sent to all participants

– customer service is a joke – all they managed to say is that apparently customers are using improper web browsers (all of them!) and we had to provide the files through different website, which looked really unprofessional

Not sure, I liked the most part. I was not happy with their custom domain feature that requires a bit of a tech person to set up.

When I saw I couldn’t use it, they didn’t want to refund or give me a credit.

Also not easy to cancel you have to message them and if the charge just hit they wouldn’t refund either.

The webinar platform industry is fiercely competitive, with numerous providers vying for the attention of businesses and educators. However, many competitors fall short in crucial areas, leading to dissatisfied customers and lost business opportunities.

Based on customer reviews, we’ve identified the top mistakes that competitors make and provide actionable solutions to help you outperform them.

Poor audio and video quality

What competitors get wrong: One of the most common complaints about webinar platforms is poor audio and video quality. Users often experience lag, interruptions, and low-resolution streams, which detracts from the overall experience.

How to do it better: Invest in robust infrastructure and high-quality streaming technology to ensure seamless audio and video delivery. Implement adaptive streaming to adjust quality based on the user’s internet connection.

Regularly test your platform under various conditions to ensure consistency. By prioritizing top-notch audio and video quality, you can set your platform apart from competitors and enhance user satisfaction.

Limited interactivity features

What competitors get wrong: Many webinar platforms offer limited interactivity features, such as basic chat functions and minimal engagement tools. Customers often desire more interactive elements to engage their audience effectively.

How to do it better: Enhance your platform with a wide range of interactivity features, including polls, Q&A sessions, breakout rooms, and live annotations. Integrate gamification elements like quizzes and rewards to keep participants engaged.

Providing a rich set of interactive tools can make your platform more appealing to users looking for dynamic and engaging webinars.

Inadequate customer support

What competitors get wrong: Poor customer support is a significant issue among webinar platforms. Users frequently report slow response times, unhelpful support staff, and a lack of comprehensive resources.

How to do it better: Differentiate your service by offering exceptional customer support. Provide multiple support channels, including live chat, email, and phone, with quick response times.

Ensure your support team is well-trained and knowledgeable about the platform. Offer a comprehensive knowledge base, FAQs, and tutorial resources to help users resolve issues independently.

Highlighting your commitment to customer support can build trust and loyalty among users.

Complex and non-intuitive user interface

What competitors get wrong: Many webinar platforms suffer from complex, non-intuitive user interfaces that make it difficult for users to set up and manage webinars. Customers often express frustration over the steep learning curve.

How to do it better: Prioritize a clean, intuitive user interface. Conduct usability testing with real users to identify pain points and streamline the user experience.

Provide step-by-step guides, tutorials, and an onboarding process to help new users get started quickly. By offering an easy-to-use platform, you can differentiate yourself from competitors and improve user satisfaction.

Limited integration capabilities

What competitors get wrong: Competitors often offer limited integration options with other tools and platforms, making it difficult for users to incorporate webinars into their existing workflows. Customers frequently express frustration over the lack of seamless integrations.

How to do it better: Enhance your platform’s integration capabilities by supporting a wide range of third-party applications, such as CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media platforms. Provide APIs and webhooks to facilitate custom integrations.

Collaborate with popular software providers to develop seamless integrations. By offering robust integration options, you can attract users looking for a comprehensive, interconnected webinar solution.

Unreliable scalability

What competitors get wrong: Many webinar platforms struggle with scalability, leading to performance issues during large events. Customers often experience crashes and slow performance when hosting webinars with large audiences.

How to do it better: Ensure that your platform can scale efficiently to accommodate webinars of any size. Invest in cloud infrastructure that can dynamically scale resources based on demand.

Regularly test your platform with large audiences to identify and address performance bottlenecks. By providing reliable scalability, you can cater to both small and large-scale events, attracting a wider range of users.

Limited customization and branding options

What competitors get wrong: Competitors often provide limited customization and branding options, making it difficult for users to create a branded webinar experience. Customers frequently desire more control over the look and feel of their webinars.

How to do it better: Offer extensive customization and branding options, allowing users to incorporate their logos, color schemes, and branding elements into their webinars. Provide customizable registration pages, email templates, and in-webinar branding tools.

By enabling users to create a fully branded experience, you can differentiate your platform and attract businesses looking to reinforce their brand identity.

Inadequate data analytics and reporting

What competitors get wrong: Many webinar platforms offer insufficient analytics and reporting tools, leaving users without detailed insights into their webinar performance. Customers often struggle to measure engagement and ROI effectively.

How to do it better: Invest in advanced analytics and reporting features. Provide detailed insights into attendee behavior, engagement levels, and conversion metrics.

Offer customizable reports and real-time data dashboards. By delivering comprehensive analytics, you can empower users to make data-driven decisions and improve their webinar strategies.

Conclusion

By addressing these common mistakes made by competitors, your webinar platform can stand out in a crowded market.

Focus on delivering high-quality audio and video, rich interactivity features, exceptional customer support, an intuitive user interface, robust integration capabilities, reliable scalability, extensive customization options, and advanced analytics.

By prioritizing these areas, you can enhance customer satisfaction, build loyalty, and ultimately, outperform your competitors in the webinar platform industry.

Is this what you expect to see at the end of the article? No!

Oh, you’re looking to make your webinar platform stand out in a market that’s more crowded than a Black Friday sale? How ambitious of you.

Here’s a guide to outshining your competitors by fixing their painfully obvious mistakes.

First up, high-quality audio and video. Because nothing says “professional” like grainy video and audio that sounds like it’s coming from a tin can.

Aim for the revolutionary idea of clarity.

Rich interactivity features? Absolutely essential. Because everyone attending a webinar is dying to participate in yet another poll or chat session.

It’s not like they have better things to do.

Exceptional customer support, of course. When someone’s screen freezes mid-webinar, they need a support team ready to spring into action like it’s a life-or-death situation.

Because it obviously is.

An intuitive user interface? Naturally. Because your users definitely need everything spelled out for them.

Heaven forbid they figure anything out on their own.

Robust integration capabilities? A must.

Because what’s more fun than spending hours connecting your platform to fifty other apps and tools? Pure joy.

Reliable scalability? Definitely.

Because your platform is undoubtedly going to become an overnight sensation, and you need to be ready for the millions of users who will flock to your service. Dream big!

Extensive customization options? Absolutely.

Because who wouldn’t want to spend countless hours tweaking every little detail of their webinar setup? Customization is life.

And let’s not forget advanced analytics. Because what’s the point of running a webinar if you can’t drown in data afterwards?

Knowing the exact second when each attendee lost interest is crucial.

By focusing on these utterly crucial areas, you’ll not only boost customer satisfaction and build loyalty but also outshine every other platform in the webinar industry. Because who wouldn’t be loyal to a platform that anticipates their every need and treats them like they can’t do anything on their own?
